The upcoming Fiat Talento is a van that entered its second generation in 2016. Produced by the Italian automaker, Talento is replacing the old Fiat Scudo and is based on a third-generation of Renault Trafic. On the other hand, Talento is much bigger than the Scudo model, it offers more cargo space and better payload.
The customers can choose between nine body styles, from the standard van to the high-roof and long-wheelbase version. Plenty of trim levels are available, just like the wide range of engines, and overall, Talento is a good van to drive, it offers stylish exterior and the comfort is guaranteed.
Fiat Talento Exterior is Strong and Attractive
As mentioned, Fiat Talento is based on a Renault Trafic and its third-generation. Nine body styles are on the offer, so the customers can choose standard van, a van with shorter and longer wheelbase and even a high-roof version. The rear end is squared end it increases a load capacity. Transporting bulky object should not be a problem for Talento.
The rear doors can be open to a wide 255 degrees angle, so the access is easier than ever. This van will arrive with five style packs which include body colored bumper, door mirrors and sliding door rail covers. Up front, the fog lights are optional and much recommended as the visibility is great with this option loaded. Automatic headlights, heated electric wing mirrors, and 17-inch wheels are all standard.
Fiat Talento Interior is comfortable and Spacious
The interior is very practical and also comfortable. Everything inside the forthcoming Fiat Talento is ergonomically designed and shaped, the seats are comfortable and the buttons layout is perfect. The dashboard is nice and it provides a good layout for safer and more relaxing driving. The driving position is more than good and it provides an all-around view.
Some optional feature such as DAB radio, phone connectivity, USB ports and Bluetooth are now standard. Higher trim levels add air-conditioning, parking camera and rear parking sensors. The seats in standard trim come with a cloth. Top-range trims will benefit from a new 7.0-touchscreen, navigation, upgraded infotainment system, automatic wipers and also a leather upholstery.
Fiat Talento Engine and Fuel Economy
All of the Talento’s engines are diesel, whether with a single or twin-turbo technology, and all engines are coming with a 6-speed manual transmission. The base engine is a 1.6-liter turbo diesel, it comes with high torque, 260 lb-ft and with a good fuel economy, 33mpg to be exact.
However, the next one is a 1.6-liter MultiJet engine that makes 120 HP and 221 lb-ft of torque. Perhaps the strongest drivetrain is a 1.6-liter twin-turbocharged EcoJet diesel unit. This drivetrain is capable of producing up to 145 HP and 340 lb-ft of torque.
Fiat Talento Price and Release Date
Fiat Talento will cost around $25,000 for a standard roof van. However, the top-range trim with the EcoJet engine starts at $28,500. As you can see, the price is fair and it does not jump into the sky with more options loaded. The newest Fiat’s van will arrive at some point in late 2019.
