At this moment, there is no available image of the exterior and interior. The manufacturer still keeping all secretly. However, some information is available to the public. According to them, the new 2021 GMC Savana will be available in two versions. There will be model 2500 and 3500.
The design will be the same on both, however, the only difference will be in dimension. The 2500 model will measure 223.9 inches lengths, while the 3500 243.9. Also, 2500 comes with a regular wheelbase in LS and LT trims, while 3500 will come with regular wheelbase and an extended wheelbase in LS and LT trims. Thanks to the swing-out passenger-side door, in and out and loading cargo is easy and efficient. The standard package will also bring assist steps, solar-ray deep-tinted glass, and swing-out window glass.
Like the exterior, the cabin will suffer some changes. The cabin will be updated and we can expect more quality materials and techs. Also, according to the latest info, the new Savana will come with roomy storage and comfortable seating for up to 15 people. The comfort is guaranteed with this minivan.
Also, features like leather-wrapped steering wheel, climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, 4G LTE Wi-Fi and plenty of USB ports are standard. We can also expect a better infotainment system than before. Safety or driver-assistance features will be also better thanks to the forward collision alert, lane departure warning, front, and side airbags, rear vision camera and rear park assist.
2021 GMC Savana Under the Hood
From the latest information, the all-new 2021 GMC Savana will be available with four engine variants. The first one is a 4.3L V6 engine that will be able to produce around 280 HP and 298 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission.
Furthermore, the next one that will power this minivan is a Vortec 6.0L V8 that makes 345 HP and 373 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be also available with SFI Gaseous CNG/LPG that gives the same 345 HP and 373 lb-ft of torque. The last hard-working engine that will be the most economical is 2.8L Duramax Turbo-Diesel. This engine is capable to produce 181 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque. The 2021 GMC Savana model has the same max conventional trailering as before of 9600 lbs and max GCWR of 16,000 lbs.
Release Date and Price
Arrive of the new 2021 GMC Savana will happen sometime in 2020. The price of the standard model will start at $34.900. However, choosing the upper trim levels, the price will go up to $45.000.
