The 2020 Mitsubishi Expander is one sophisticated minivan that perfectly combines a car-like design and minivan styling cues. Just like the various crossovers, Expander will borrow some styling cues from the rest of the company’s cars. Generally, it is a practical MPV with the car’s fuel efficiency and the SUV’s ride height.
The 2020 Mitsubishi Expander is a capable model with so much to offer. It comes with a wagon-like styling and the cabin can accommodate up to seven passengers over the three rows of seats. The exterior looks very dynamic and attractive, and this unibody model comes with very modern cabin. On top of that, safety rating is great. Under the hood, Expander offers only one drivetrain option that comes with two different transmissions.
2020 Mitsubishi Expander exterior is modern and attractive
A five-door 2020 Mitsubishi Expander comes with a wagon-like look. Very dynamic exterior looks both modern and attractive. The front end looks especially brilliant. The Mitsubishi’s design language is easy to notice. We have LED headlights and taillights, along with the floating roofline. B and C-pillars are all blacks.
Thanks to the sound insulating materials and new glass, the cabin will be quite as never before. The ride height is closer to the regular SUV than the actual minivan. The arriving Expander will be slightly wider than its predecessor. This should provide better stability on the road, along with the all-new tires. The 15-inch wheels are available as standard. Of course, you can opt for the 16-inch rollers that are optional.
2020 Mitsubishi Expander layout is great
As we mentioned, the upcoming 2020 Mitsubishi Expander offers room for seven passengers. This minivan has three rows of seats and the 2-3-2 seating configuration is present. The layout is great, which provides even better legroom for all passengers. Cargo area is ample too, especially with the second and third row folded flat.
From the inside, Expander is a very practical minivan and it even offers 14 cup holders. Features such as Bluetooth and navigation are standard. The entertainment system is once again optional. However, LED display is now standard even on the base model. Furthermore, the start-stop button is not optional anymore. Even some safety features aren’t optional as before.
2020 Mitsubishi Expander powertrain
The approaching minivan comes with a single drivetrain option. It is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder DOHV engine. This unit comes with a Valve-Timing Electronic Control and it can produce 125 horses and 110 lb-ft of torque. This reliable engine comes with good fuel economy numbers. Moreover, a front-wheel-drive setup is standard.
You can choose between the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. The ride comfort is on a great level, both the cabin and transmission are very quiet. Handling is good, just like the rest of driving manners.
