Nissan NV is both cargo and passenger van. The new model will get a well-deserved upgrade in terms of performance and exterior update. Moreover, the new model 2019 Nissan NV offers a 7-speed automatic transmission and improved fuel efficiency.
This van shares a lot of similarities with the Nissan Titan truck. That includes front part styling and Titan’s powertrain. Overall, 2019 NV van will arrive with a lot of improvements and better driving dynamics as well.
2019 Nissan NV exterior changes
The 2019 Nissan NV didn’t suffer any dramatic changes, basically, it is the same model with minor upgrades. After all, this van exists for business matter not to show its glances. The NV model comes in three different chassis setups, 1500, 2500 and 3500. The appearance is the same with all three models and the difference is in towing and payload.
Moreover, the NV is the only body-on-frame van that is available in the United States. It features an optional high-roof profile while the other competitors are offering a uni-body profile. The tow hooks are mounted on the front bumper which is another unique feature. 17-inch wheels are standard while the same size chrome-clad wheels are optional. The SL trim adds front sonar system, rear-view camera and fog lights are also optional on the base model.
2019 Nissan NV interior will get a touchscreen display
The interior of a work van isn’t such a usual topic, however, the 2019 Nissan NV offers an interior that is worthy of discussion. The dashboard is made in a simple design and it is easy to use. Gauge cluster, HVAC controls and steering wheel are the same as on the first-generation of Titan truck.
The NissanConnectSM is available and it adds a touchscreen display. This system comes with a Bluetooth and USB connection, voice recognition and rearview camera. The center console offers two cup holders and a cell phone spot. The 2019 NV passenger model includes three rows of rear seating where first two rows are made for three people in each row. Every seat has a seatbelt and every seat is configurable or removable. According to Nissan, this NV owns 324 different seat configurations.
2019 Nissan NV engine and transmission system
As we already mentioned, the 2019 Nissan NV will get a performance boost and that means new powertrain. The all-new 5.6-liter V8 Endurance will power this full-size van. Moreover, the same engine can be found in the Titan and Titan XD models. Even Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX80 are using the same powertrain option.
On the other hand, this unit provides different performance figures for every model. The NV’s engine is rated at 375 HP and 387 lb-ft of torque and it features a direct fuel injection system. As a result, the fuel economy is improved by eight percent. A new 7-speed automatic transmission replaces the old 5-speed gearbox.
